The Professional Development Manager will be responsible for staff development via assessment, development, and evaluation of competence about their role in the Acute Rehabilitation environment and works collaboratively with nursing and therapy leads. The Professional Development Manager will serve as an expert in clinical areas and serve as the liaison between PH&R, the Shady Grove Campus, and the Corporate Educational Team. The Professional Development Manager collaborates with organizational leaders and stakeholders to measure program outcomes and will be responsible for developing, overseeing and evaluating the following staff development activities:
New employee orientation for clinical disciplines, agency, and travelers (Day 2 and on)
Preceptor development and follow up
Collaboration with the Campus Residency Program leaders
In-service educational activities
Planning and implementing access to appropriate literature and databases in planning, providing and evaluating patient care.
