Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the Manager of the Learning and Adoption team, the Application Technology Specialist has the ability to work alone on regular duties while referring appropriately to manager or other resources for escalation or support. This resource will focus on the administration and technology of the learning management systems that are used to deliver on-line education to the EMR end-users. This is a customer facing position and the application technology specialist should therefore exhibit customer service skills, with a strong attention to detail. In addition, the application technology specialist possesses strong communication skills adapted to the requirements of the customers. Schedules, arranges and balances activities to complete concurrent assignments and to accomplish project deadlines and schedules. Actively engaged with departmental resources to promote and advance the technology that assists in enhancing the use of the systems and associated technology. Responsible for distributing information to a variety of individuals both verbally and in writing on a timely basis. Responsible for keeping up to date on learning system functionality. Keeps abreast of industry trends and standards on learning systems. Demonstrates a consistent high level of customer service. In this position, the incumbent is primarily in a customer facing role and needs to complete tasks within deadlines.
