As a Patient Service Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
Greet and register patients in a friendly and service oriented manner obtaining complete and pertinent information.
Provide complete information for physician and technologists by completing jacket and providing pertinent information.
If scheduling, schedule according to site, department and computer protocols.
Notify appropriate department of patient arrival or appropriate personnel immediately of all STAT exams.
Verify/update changes in patient/physician/insurance information to ensure proper billing.
If records are off-site coordinates with medical records retrieval of films for STAT or add-on exams as well as re-routing for filing.
If records are on-site, coordinate medical records and patient jackets for physicians and tech's prior to patient arrival.
Notifies supervisor of missing or duplicate patient files or jackets.
Calls next day patients to confirm appointments.
Obtains patient signatures on all pertinent forms.
Obtains proper authorization prior to release of confidential medical information.
Use good clerical skills, i.e. filing, organization, typing, open and process all incoming mail.
Collects monies due and issues receipts to patients for monies received for medical services rendered
